I am still in spiritual shock (2005-12-19)

Whoa.  Right now I am still in spiritual shock.  Can you believe that yesterday we witnessed many people make the most important decision in their lives?

Can you believe that many of those lives we had the opportunity to touch, that we will be chilling out in heaven together?  Can you believe that there are many people without any purpose or meaning in life and now they do in Christ Jesus?

From some of those names we logged on our sheets, I know some of them are committed followers of Jesus, but wanted to sign our books anyways.  Some are Christians, but maybe not following Christ until they made a decision to yesterday.  Then there is a substantial number of them that I know for a fact it was the first time they honestly accepted, invited, and welcomed Jesus into their hearts. Of the first timers coming to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, I saw many many tear, I saw rejoicing, and I saw an attitude of belonging to the family of God.  When I signed up to sing, I thought I would just be going to visit a place I've never been before - prison.  Now I realized much more.  The ministry Peter and the Hearts Renewal are doing a great work for those that need to know Christ.

What an experience.  I feel like there is so much more to say.  I'd love to hear how you guys are processing the experience we had yesterday.  May you all be rested and recovering physically from yesterday.  And I'll include a quick prayer for those baby believers we witnessed yesterday.

Lord, what a great Lord you are.  You truly know your children, better than we know, better than we can hope for, and better than we will ever know.  Thanks for allowing us to witness your power and love yesterday.  We lift up those that have committed their lives into your hands yesterday.  May you protect them in that dark place, so that they would be your Light shinning through FDC for others to witness the life change in them.  Flush out any residual doubts, fears, and anxieties of their lives.  May they be full of your Spirit, love, and transforming word.  Father, we commit these brothers and sisters into your family, and may you take care of them all the days of their lives. 

Bless Hearts Renewal Ministries as they continue to minister, pray, and invest into your children at FDC.  We love you Jesus, and we join in your angels in heaven, rejoicing over those new followers of Jesus!
